We were asked to sell drinks alongside with the Elks. We had fun and made more than we did at the East Fishkill

10/3/04- Fall Open House -- East Fishkill Community Center
Ahhh, The Open House. We all showed up in our Band Uniform and to my amazement, we had 6 new members show up.
5 of them were from John Jay High School (blah), and the other one came from the Arlington Street Fair. I'm glad I
went to these community events and recruited my butt off. Althea brought us cookies and drinks!!! We had 2 Flutes,
1 Clarinet, 1 Trombone, 1 Trumpet and Brian our Tuba Man. Hopefully they will all come back at our next rehearsal.
10/2/04- Arlington Street Fair -- Raymond Ave, Poughkeepsie
The Day started out cold, I knew it was going to be a long day! Cloudy weather, a threat of rain, and Me with no
tent. I passed out 4 flyers. I had a great time, until the Great Rain came!!! around 5pm It poured out. Luckily Althea
gave me an umbrella and I was able to cover a little bit. A few people seemed interested in our band.
9/26/04- Spirit of Beacon Day -- Main St Beacon
Spirit of Beacon Day was an interesting event! Many people don’t know who we are!!
I was able to pass out a few flyers and a few people seem interested in our band. Let’s hope we’ll bring them in.
We had a visit from one of our past musicians, Russ Sienty -Clarinet. he stopped by and said Good Luck to everybody!!
9/25/04- Spirit of America @ Pepsi Arena
The show was amazing!!! The powerful message and the music were very emotional. There was a nice 9/11 Tribute.
For those you missed it, maybe next year. This was a show to remember. Every seat was a great seat.
Hopefully, the show will return next year, and we will be there.
9/19/04- East Fishkill Day and Eagle Ceremony
The Community day was a very windy and chilly, we didn’t make a whole lot of sales. For the Eagle Ceremony,
It was very nice. Thanks for Laura and Pat for setting up the Concert. It’s always nice to see people achieving their
high goals. On a side note: We still have a few Snapple Lemon bottles left. If you want to buy some See Althea!!!

9/04/04- West Point Labor Day Concert- 1812 Overture
After the Crowed scene on July 4th, we decide to go to West Point at noon instead of arriving their about 3pm.
When we got there, this day, we found our perfect seats, although it was too sunny outside! You should have
seen us there, we had 3 picnic tables with large umbrella's. The Concert was really entertaining and the
fireworks was amazing!!!
